Position Field: Rear Load Garbage Truck Driver
Location: St. Joseph, Missouri

What you will do:
 Safely operate a collection truck to collect both residential and commercial waste along
a designated route, then transfer to a disposal site.
 Work closely with the rest of the driver team to improve efficiencies and to service customers on different routes and schedules. Attend team meetings.
 Interact courteously with customers and communicate customer requests to office.
 Perform pre and post trip inspection of your vehicle to ensure truck is in proper working order. Address maintenance issues quickly. Notify leadership of any concern.
 Follow all safety requirements, attend safety meetings and report any safety issues immediately to leadership.
 Keep your truck clean inside and out.
 Notify office of any incidents, accidents, injuries or property damage immediately.
 Clock in when arriving, clock out when duties are completed.

What you need to be successful:
 Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement (Required).
 Legally eligible to work in the United States.
 At least 18 years of age.
 Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
 Pass CDL physical and drug screen
 Experience helpful. One or more years of relevant work experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent.
 Ability to read route sheets, use navigational devices, and follow a route.
 Ability to work early mornings.
 Good time management skills to ensure assigned routes are completed efficiently and
safely.
 Flexibility to adapt to changes as needed.
 Good problem-solving skills to address unexpected issues.
 Desire to take good care of the customer and work as a team with other drivers, while helping and interacting respectfully with each other.
