Using technology to further develop the sanitation industry. The Durham Region Waste App gives residents instant, mobile, customized
access to information about waste collection and a host of other waste
management solutions. Residents can access a personalized collection day
calendar, set up reminder alerts, learn how to properly dispose of household
waste, locate and call their local waste management facility, and even report
collection issues with photos. For the first time, Durham Region can
communicate in a way many residents prefer and this aligns with the Region’s
customer service focus
