Green Star Achievement Award
At Alaska Waste, we believe in redefining waste management through our commitment to helping conserve natural resources and reducing landfill waste in our state. In recognition of our efforts, Alaska Waste was awarded the Green Star Achievement Award in April 2009.
The Green Star Achievement Award recognizes businesses that demonstrate a strong environmental and business ethic. Alaska Waste completed the ten standards necessary to earn this award that include recycling, waste prevention, improved purchasing, outreach to other organizations, education of employees, reduction of toxic materials, water conservation, air quality, and energy efficiency.
