John McKinney became a director of United Rentals in 1998 following the company’s merger with US Rentals. He also served as vice president of United Rentals until the end of 2000. While with US Rentals, Mr. McKinney, a certified public accountant, served as chief financial officer from 1990 until the merger and as controller from 1988 until 1990. Prior to joining US Rentals, Mr. McKinney held various positions at Iomega Corporation, including assistant controller, and at the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co.
