Lance Carter earned 3rd place in the Florida State truck ROAD-E-O Roll-off competition. In an effort to highlight driver safety and training, the Department sponsored five participants to compete in the 2017 Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) State ROAD-E-O located in Orlando, Florida on October 27-28, 2017. The annual state competition gives employees who earned 1st place in the Solid Waste Department ROAD-E-O an opportunity to compete for awards against colleagues from across the state of Florida. Drivers showed off elite operational skills as they navigated through obstacle courses which simulated daily driving conditions. A record number of drivers competed in the Department ROAD-E-O which led to stiff competition in every category. WAY TO GO Mr. Carter!
