Charles Campbell

Company: White Plaines

Years of Service: 5+

Comments: Campbell, 37, was beloved by everyone on his route and enjoyed working part time helping underprivileged kids try and get ahead in life. Family and friends of Charles Campbell gathered at the Westchester County Courthouse on the 20th anniversary of his death to remember the city sanitation worker who was shot and killed. His family described him as “a wonderful athlete, wonderful person. He was a Christian. He loved kids, loved people, all people.”

We will not forget you, Charles Campbell.

Together, let’s honor the memory of the men and women who have served by our side. Whether on the garbage trucks, delivering portable sanitation units, or working in the offices and repair shops, the employees of our industry serve important roles and are very special people. As we remember this fallen hero of the waste industry, we join with their family and co-workers to honor their service.
