Gary Lambert

Company: City of Caldwell

Years of Service: 35

Comments: Today, his coworkers are mourning. Thomas Trnka is the solid waste superintendent in Caldwell. He worked with Gary Lambert for ten years.

“I was just hoping it was something minor like an accident or broken leg, but when I arrived it was not good, it was pretty sad,” said Trnka.

Trnka said he also understands the pain Gary’s wife, Shirley, has to endure.

“Shirley has been very very strong, very upbeat I know she even met with the driver of the truck to help him,” said Trnka.

Caldwell city administrator, Johnny Price, says an accident like this has not happened in the 35 years he’s been with the city.

“We have about 80 employees here and everyone loved Gary and his wife,” said Price.

Price says he asked DPS to investigate the accident to make sure no stone was left unturned.

“Gary worried more about everyone else but himself,” said Price.

We will not forget you, Gary Lambert.
