Comments: Melvin Edward Stewart was born Jan. 01, 1923 and Passed on to be with our lord on Feb 22, 1994.

During Mel’s lifetime he was honored to serve the United States in the Pacific as a Marine during WW-II. Mel married Betty Jane McDermott in June of 1946 upon his return from active duty and then enrolled and graduated from Yale University in 1948

His work history was started with Commercial Shearing and Stamping where he fine tuned his passion for Hydraulics. He was credited for converting the gear operated Pak Mor rear load garbage truck to the hydraulically operated Loadmaster 100 series.

Mel was predeceased by his oldest son Michael who was killed in action during Vietnam and is survived by his wife, three daughters, four sons and numerous grand and great grand children.

We will not forget you, Melvin Stewart.
