Jerry Church – Vice President of Operations
Jerry Church has more than 23 years of experience in Transportation Management with the last 6 years being in the solid waste industry. Mr. Church serves as the VP of Operations for Inland Waste Solutions, LLC. Prior to his promotion Mr. Church served as a Regional Manager and also as Division Manager for the company.
Mr. Church’s leadership positions prior to joining Inland includes; Vice President of Operations at Velocity Express, and Logistics Center Manager at Penske. He brings with him a solid leadership and operational foundation, which are key to the Waste Industry.
Coupled with leadership and operational skills, Mr. Church attended Park College.
Stephen Walker – Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Walker joined our team through the acquisition of Deffenbaugh of Arkansas, LLC in 2015. He has twenty five years of consumer services experience with the most recent three years being in the field of waste management/recycling, and over eight plus years of logistics, transportation, and distribution experience. Prior to joining Inland, he served as Area Sales Manager for; Deffenbaugh of Arkansas servicing Northwest Arkansas, River Valley Arkansas, Southeast Kansas, Southwest Missouri, and Northeast Oklahoma. In his role as Area Sales Manager, he was responsible for the sustainability and growth of over 18 million in annual revenue.
During his career, Mr. Walker has held a multitude of positions within Operational Management, National Account Management, Sales Management, and Customer Service. The diversity of his career along with his proven results align very well and he is a great fit for Inland Waste’s vision and goals.
Mr. Walker attended Seminole State University, Oklahoma. He is a lifelong native of Northwest Arkansas and resides in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
David Vance – Market Area Manager, Southeast
Mr. Vance has over 17 years of experience in the Waste Industry with Inland Service Corporation. He has spent the past 12 years in Augusta, Georgia as Division Manager overseeing the following projects: Harlem, GA, combined Marine air base in Beaufort South Carolina, and the city of Augusta. Mr. Vance also helped project start ups in Akron and Columbus, Ohio, as well as Rogers, Arkansas. Prior to overseeing the Augusta operation, he worked as Project Manager at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma while having operational oversights at Altus Air Force base, Sheppard Air Force base, and Madisonville, Texas. He brings a vast knowledge of maintenance operations for waste industry equipment.
Prior to work at Inland, Mr. Vance was part owner in a transportation company which provided the transportation for thousands of soldiers at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He is a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Army Ordinance Corp. and a past Commander of American Legion Post 168. He holds a certificate in Project Management and an Associate of Arts Degree with a concentration in Business Foundations from the University of Phoenix.
Mr. Vance currently resides in Beech Island, South Carolina.
Alfred Ponce – Director of Information Technology
Alfred Ponce has over 24 years of senior management experience, along with sixteen years of experience in information systems. He joined Inland in 2011 bringing with him key business technology information systems experience related to the Waste Industry, which includes RFID technology, interrogator and monitoring systems to name a few.
Prior to joining Inland, Mr. Ponce served over twenty-one years in the U.S. Army. He served with distinction in senior leadership roles and combat deployments. His most recent management positions include Senior Manager with Dell Financial Service and Technology positions with Lockheed Martin along with Tapestry Solutions (Boeing).
Mr. Ponce is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Senior Leader Course and attended St. Thomas University, Houston, Texas. He holds a Sixth Sigma Certification at the Green Belt level along with various other certifications. He also holds a Texas Commission of Environmental and Quality Municipal Solid Waste Operator license, class A.
