We are proud to announce the promotion of Joy Sawyer from Service Coordinator to Compactor Service Manager! Joy has been with MAWS for over 6 years and has quickly become an impactful part of the organization. Year after year, she has gone above and beyond to be of assistance to anyone in need and has a great understanding of all departments and branch functions.
She has the respect of the team and always has customer service in mind and we know she will do great things in her new role!
Founded in 1985 by Rich Hood, Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems began in a modest office in Centreville, Maryland. Together with his wife, who was his first office manager and bookkeeper, Rich moved their office to Easton, Maryland in 1988, which subsequently became the Corporate headquarters location. In 1993, the Company opened an additional facility in Clinton, MD and continued a pattern of growth from that point on.
