1981 – Bakers Waste Equipment Inc. was founded by Carson Baker in Morganton, NC, with a vision to build and provide steel containers and compactors to solid waste industry customers in the region.
2001 – Ric Raines acquired BWE after searching for a small, successful business that would have an opportunity to grow in its niche market. Maximizing operational efficiencies, product quality, and providing superior customer service were among the key improvements put in motion under new leadership. In the years to come, BWE began to experience substantial growth and recognition in the industry fueled by a dedicated team of employees, and an expanding base of loyal customers.
2007 – Growth led to the addition of two more manufacturing facilities in NC. In the years to follow, innovation accelerated BWE’s continued success with engineered product improvements, new product designs, and upgrades in the manufacturing processes.
