Thank You Sanitation Workers, A Message From Glad

Sanitation workers are still on the streets helping to keep our cities clean. That’s why we’re partnering with the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) to support sanitation workers affected by COVID-19.

Our sincerest thanks go out to all those working hard to collect our trash and recycling.

Sanitation Worker Support Fund

To help support sanitation workers and their families, we worked with SWANA to create the Sanitation Worker Support Fund.

The fund provides financial assistance to sanitation collection workers impacted by COVID-19. If you’re a front-line sanitation collection worker who’s tested positive for COVID-19, experienced a related job loss, or if you’re an immediate family member of a sanitation collection worker who has sadly passed away from the virus, please visit our funding application.

Simple Ways to Support Your Sanitation Workers

Let’s all play our part in supporting the sanitation workers who serve our communities.

  • Say Thank You

A little thank you goes a long way. Leave a message of gratitude on your garbage bin.

  • Knot Your Trash Bag

Securely tie your trash bags to help protect sanitation workers from potentially harmful materials.

  • Wash Your Hands

Taking out the trash with clean hands ensures you don’t accidently contaminate your trash bag.
